1. Glasshouse for the inner art geek in you – BUNCH

Now here’s a cafe for the artsy lovers out there! Designed with a gabled glass roof, furnished with groovy velvet chairs and big windows, this cafe will excite the inner art geek in you as its concept is very different from the rest.

This cafe was actually a high-end bungalow that was turned into a cafe back in 2019. Now it functions as both a cafe and event space where they hold exhibitions, media launches and many more.

Inside and outside, you’ll never find yourself running out of ideas on photo ops. And they also offer a variety of dishes ranging from Western to local cuisines!

2. The little glass house – Pokok KL

Having good lighting is great and all, but having natural lighting that shines on every flawless corner of the cafe and YOU is amazing!

Built with a gabled glass roof and a cascading flow of water on top, when hit with the right amount of sunlight, this cafe glows like a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Not too small but not too empty either, this cosy cafe sits on MAHSA Avenue where you’ll find students and working people alike, peacefully sipping a cup of tea as they tap away on their laptops.

Surrounded by greenery and accompanied with soft acoustic music, this spot is a perfect brunch catch-up session for you and your besties. And for food, try out the chef’s recommendation – Baked Farm (RM 25) which is not only pretty in pictures, but it’s yummy as well!

In the mood for that cool Mediterranean-inspired type of vibe? Divine fusion has just that.

As you step in, you’ll be captivated by their fuschia-lit white-coloured walls, arched entryways, a few travelling banana plants here and there, and most notably their neon-lit wall corner. With its chic interior, it’s no wonder this cafe is an IG attraction to most fashionistas out there.

5. Have a latte in the jungle – Roti & Kopi House

Craving for some traditional Malaysian cuisine? I know I am! Established in 2019, this restaurant has already caught the attention of a few Instagram hipsters especially with the colourful jungle mural displayed around their cafe.

Inside, the cafe is furnished with a safari-themed look with a minimalistic touch to it. High glass windows help to light up the place making it more welcoming to visitors. Many customers have raved about the comfort and design of the space as well as their tasty selection of food.

At Stars Picker Audio Cafe, you can chill out with your music and sip on some nice coffee in their bohemian-inspired cafe that’s not only musically-themed but vegetarian as well!

7. A cafe that bares bears – The Teddy Cafe

Are you heading to the Kelana Jaya area? Make sure to stop by at this super kawaii cafe that’s all about bears, bears, BEARS!

This Teddy-bear themed cafe has been around for quite some time, but it’s still considered one of the hidden gems of PJ. Here, everything is themed after a teddy bear, from dishes to drinks, and the entire cafe is filled with many care bears lying around and walls are plastered with murals of these fluffy friends!

8. Catch a glimpse of the 70s – Cafe Tujoh

As you step into Cafe Tujoh, you’ll instantly be hit with nostalgia of the 70s.

With its well-decorated pile of retro CRT televisions and street lights surrounded by wall plants and tall banana trees, this street urban designed cafe has coffee hipsters going crazy for their vintage aesthetics. Not to mention it also has a high glass ceiling for when you need that good natural lighting for your IG feed!

10. Have a sip of tea in a retro home – Jam & Kaya Cafe

Located just 3 minutes’ walk from Taman Jaya LRT Station, this cafe has been nestled along the streets of Lorong Sultan for a few years now, but it never ceases to amaze visitors with their artistic interior as well as their delicious food.

This minimalist cafe is set in a small retro house, kind of like those you see in those classic movies like Edward Scissorhands. A green yard, cobblestone flooring, and a cute mini palm tree, this cafe will have you chilling all day!
