This beachfront resort is not the usual one you tend to see on your social media feed – located in a heritage village, you get to stay in one of 29 unique centuries-old Terengganu Malay homes that have been conserved and lovingly restored, with modern amenities but still preserving its traditional architecture and interiors.
Known as Terrapuri (The Land of Palaces), the resort’s layout is inspired by the Terengganu Palace in the 17th century, and it’s also located near Setiu Wetland, a mangrove river. So you can expect to see an abundance of animals in the natural surroundings – from migratory birds, fireflies, to river terrapins and green turtles that lay their eggs on the shore.
So come and immerse yourself in this scenic retreat among nature!
