At this Muslim-friendly seafood restaurant, you can find a wide variety of fresh seafood in the aquariums for you to choose from.

4. Halal Chinese-style French crabs with Mongolian sauce – Ibrahim’s Fatty Crabs

Popular for its French crab served with sultry Mongolian sauce, this up-and-coming seafood joint is already known among food hunters out there as one of tastiest seafood restaurants in Ampang area.

Run by Encik Marzuki, the owner of the establishment plans to take his restaurant to another level by becoming the best Halal Chinese Seafood restaurants in town. Paying attention to details, Encik Marzuki offers his guests a delicious range of premium and imported seafood, served with sumptuous sauces that will not only satisfy your cravings, but is wallet friendly as well.

They have Mud Crabs (from RM13.90 per 100g), French Crabs and also Alaskan King Crabs (which has to be pre-ordered). They also serve lobster which starts at RM 30 per 100g.

5. Mouth-watering Thai BBQ seafood galore – Nong & Jimmy Thai BBQ Seafood

In the mood for some Thai food? Here at Nong & Jimmy Thai BBQ Seafood restaurant, their market-fresh seafood comes with a delightful twist of Thai BBQ dishes that leave visitors craving for more.

In fact, they are one of the oldest seafood joints in KL, and they’ve recently opened a new branch at Kampung Baru Ampang where they are able to accommodate more visitors with a relaxing and spacious seating area.

Fans love their famous charcoal-grilled crab that goes for RM 118 per kg. If you’re craving something with a little more kick, try their Black Pepper Crab!

Nong & Jimmy also offers a scrumptious lunch set starting at RM 9.90 which comes with a choice of either Butterfly Pea Water or Pandan Leaf Water. The restaurant is also pork-free, so for our Muslim readers out there, you wouln’t want to miss out on this!

Sometimes the best experiences come from the most unexpected places. Despite being just a regular restaurant, many customers (both local and foreign seafood lovers) have raved about the fresh seafood and its affordability here at Restoran Stadium Negara.

Here, they are mostly popular for their steamboat sets, which start at RM 23 per person with a minimum set order for two! Also, don’t miss their Chilli Crab dish – crabs start from RM 80 per kg. Tempting right?

Fans of lala (clams), you’re in luck! Come by Lala Chong Kayu Ara Seafood Restaurant where their wholesome Xiong Tong Lala (Clams in Superior Soup) awaits you. Imagine sinking your teeth into the juicy flesh of lala with the rich tantalizing taste of spicy ginger soup.

Instead of cooking the soup with Chinese rice wine which is used in many traditional recipes, they use halal ingredients in the soup, so it’s actually Muslim-friendly! However, they do serve cold beers here.

What’s more? Their fresh crabs are just as tasty as their other dishes, and with a starting price of RM 88 for 600g, we think it’s pretty reasonable. They also serve mango salad as a starter instead of peanuts (which is typically served in restaurants). Yum!

Being new in the seafood scene, Loyal Gourmet offers a palate-pleasing menu at a reasonable price. Most who came by recommend their creamy salted egg crab, which starts at RM 68 per 600g as part of their current offer!

10. Stir up your tastebuds with Thai seafood hotpot – Sawatdee Thai

Perhaps one of the most stylish affordable seafood joints around, Sawatdee Thai never runs short of providing customers a delicious experience as well as a price that fits just nice to one’s budget.

Specializing in Thai cuisine, this restaurant has customers coming back for especially their Thai Style Seafood Hot Pot that starts from RM 99 for 2-4 people. But if you prefer an ala-carte seafood menu, they offer crabs for RM 99 (around 500g) and lobster for RM 95 per piece.

11. Lobsters, crabs and everything deliciously seafood – Restaurant Crab Dynasty

When it comes to restaurants, the more options the better! Crab Dynasty splurge their customers with a variety of sweet and soul-satisfying options of fresh seafood that you can pick out from their aquarium.

Most would agree that their prices are fair and the food is rich in flavour, such as their Lobster with Superior Soup or their Flaming Prawns. Crabs (500g) start at RM60 as part of their January launch promotion and RM 99 for 2XL crabs (1 kg altogether). This sounds like a steal if you are a crab lover like me!

If you can’t live without carbs (even when indulging in seafood), go for their delicious Shrimp Fried Rice which is only RM 12.
